Alexander Hult – sees his paintings as memorial fragments that he associates with places, situations, a person or a feeling. The monotonous repetitions in the paintings make the subtle differences very important. Small mistakes that he makes are reminiscent of his own personal writing. In the process he measures everything by hand, without projection and without using tape to draw the exact lines. He prepares his own canvas to control exactly how matte or glossy his color will be. Alexander has his own recognition process, and he wants us as viewers to find our own associations and recognition factors in front of the paintings.
