Amanda Björk – wants to create a sensory experience with the viewer. Her work is based on an examination of the oil’s material properties and processes. Through abstract painting she relies on the tradition of landscape painting. In addition there are homogeneous elements in the pictures that are constantly recurring.

While working she is aware of the given characteristics of the colors. For example, the light and white are associated with the clean, spotless or innocent. By broadening the associations, the white can instead be associated with something that fades away or dies or tones away.
