Ivar Lövheim – is inspired by Edward Munch who built up his paintings with sweeping brush strokes that he called wave lines in his diary notes. He argued that it came about by looking at the world through his eyelashes. It has later been dismissed as a post-construction, but Ivar sees it as Munch building a structure where painting can exist. In the same way, it is with the deep ditches in Ivar’s paintings. He is interested in what his view is loaded with, in Ivar’s case, a longing to become one with the world. That’s why he paints.
