Merete Lassen – says: ”The core of my work is the search for patterns and details in everyday life. To look up and take a closer look at what is around us. In my work, the place is important. I start from specific places and let details, color and design language lead my artistic process. Architectural elements are deconstructed and reworked to explore how form and color work together to create a sense of identity. Through architecture walks, I document and investigate how architecture tells a story. How different parts of a city’s history meet and are connected to our time.”
