Samuel Åhlman – takes day-long walks on foot and returns to the same, seemingly inconspicuous place, time after time, just to understand it better. Each time he comes a little closer to the core. He stops watching, and begins to see. It is a gathering of views which capture his attention. In his studio, the fragments will eventually become a story where he gradually lets materials and color take over. The finished works become milestones, memorable moments in time passed.
