Tove Tengå – works a lot with lines, tangles and knots. They have their background in mathematics – linear algebra, chaos theory and node theory. Tove studied mathematics for two years at university and sees many connections to her creative work. At the same time, her work is about relationships and everyday life. The knots represent strong family ties that are difficult to break, the feeling of chaos in everyday life with toddlers. Some of her drawings on porcelain are inspired by children’s drawings. A skew line is more interesting than a straight line. Problem-solving that is free of rules is challenging – everything coincides in a longing to be creative. Tove builds her sculptural works mainly in clay.
